Every batch of Rani's Mixture starts the same way it always has — with Amma in the kitchen.
She developed this recipe long before anyone called it a business: crisp gram-flour noodles, spiced boondi, baked cashews and peanuts, hand-cut cassava chips and curry leaves, all fried in pure sunflower oil. Friends and family kept asking for "Rani's mixture" — and the name stuck.
It's the mixture that comes out when guests arrive. The bowl that empties before the tea is finished. The bag packed into suitcases heading abroad, because nothing tastes more like home.
The Great Taste judges awarded it Gold — twice — and called it "virtually flawless." Amma just calls it the way it's always been made.
